The Wuppertal Institute for Climate Research hat a unused store in the mainbuilding, which inspired us. The pizzeria was out, the kitchen remained and so did the vacancy. Together with Dr. Uwe Schneidewind and Dr. Uta Atzpodien, we had the idea to facilitate an interface between art and science, between scientists and the public and citizens. We called it Kitchen of the future. Walls were jointly described, initial concepts formulated and events were happening. It became a space that invited to explore further the interconnection between Art and Sciences and a possibilty to collect new ingredients for future concepts.
